Up until now most of us have been throwing out our free range egg shells. Not any more! Once you read this blog you will be collecting egg shells from now on. They are beneficial for both you and your pet!
Egg shells contain 27 elements as well as calcium, magnesium, potassium, silicon and phosphorus.
The calcium in egg shells is more readily absorbed as it is of a very similar composition to teeth and bones.
If you eat free range eggs please keep the egg shells. Rinse them thoroughly then microwave them for a minute. Do not remove the membrane as this contains collagen, chondroiton Sulfate and Glucosamine.
Crush up the dry egg shell into a fine powder.
Both you and your pet can benefit from this rich source of calcium.
Add up to a teaspoon daily of the egg shell powder to your dogs meal.
Several of the Scoff It! products contain free range egg shells particularly the Scrummy Scoffs.
