About Us

Cassie and Lily

Hi I am Beci Love and I was born with a passionate love of dogs in my body, heart and soul. In Africa my constant companions from birth were two ridgebacks called Cleo and Fang. We have family photos of me lying on the floor as a baby with these two looking after me and lying with me.

My family are mad keen dog lovers and we have always had dogs and often cats and birds as well as part of our family throughout my childhood.

During university studies I got my “own” dog called Cassie who was a miniature poodle and totally cute and so loving.

She gave me so much love, happiness and joy. My Grandma who was a poodle lover bought her for me and I can’t thank her enough for enabling me to get my first dog.

I was able to soon get her a friend and got Lily who was another miniature poodle.

Lily had the sweetest nature and was an absolute hoot as she was almost too clever! Her antics always kept me highly amused.

So far, I have owned five poodles (all at once at one stage!). I still have my youngest poodle from that time, Jada, who is almost ten and I also have a one-year old Bordoodle, Noomi, who is more of a standard poodle than her border collie/standard poodle genes.

Life with my dogs is always brighter and more joyful because of them.

I have developed a wellness company for dogs and cats called Scoff It! My food product range is available to help pet owners in this busy world provide nutritious healthy meals without having to do any of the shopping, prep or cooking.

ScoffIt gives back quality time for you to spend with your beloved pet doing fun and loving activities. Scoff It! gives peace of mind and enables you to be able to provide nutritious healthy food that increases your pets’ longevity, contentment, joy, health and vitality!

We all win with Scoff It! You get to spend more time loving your pets whilst feeding them Scoff It! Your pets are healthier and happier and I get to love as many pets as possible with my food and health products.

Scoff It! was developed in 2007 from a desperate need to look after my beloved poodles Cassie (7) and Lily (5) at the time.

Their health was deteriorating fast and they seemed to be prematurely aging and were unwell. Cassie and Lily both had no energy combined with itchy odorous skin, ear infections, hair loss, black skin areas, weight gain and bowel issues.

I had to buy a dog pram to take them both for walks as they were struggling with undertaking much activity.

I was at my wits end as how to help. After their first cortisone injection each of many to come I decided there had to be a better way. I dedicated myself to researching how to “heal them from the inside out”.

I undertook a lot of research into pet food and natural health. As they say, “we are what we eat”.

I had recently gone through a health transition of my own and my dogs desperately needed it too.

Changing from convenient commercial pet food to handmade was a challenge with life being so busyworking full time as an engineer. Plus, my dogs were addicted to the commercial products. I stopped all the treats, dried products, kibble and tinned products.

I experimented, studied information, bought books and persevered with my recipes to develop the right combinations.
My dogs were so precious to me and deserved to be healthy again.

It took time and perseverance and luckily, I am passionate about cooking and making healthy food too!

After several painstaking months of reversing the damage from poor nutrition I noticed a difference but had to record what was happening along the way as they would at times relapse until completed healed.

My poodles did regain their vibrancy, energy, shiny coats, ideal weight, healthy ears and sparkly eyes and both Cassie and Lily lived to a wonderful old age.

Excellent Healthy food for dogs! My Pixie is 15 years old and never been healthier! Thankyou Beci for providing this top quality organic dog food and for all of your advice and friendly service. You go above and beyond.

I’ve recently started feeding my 11 year old cat Scoff It Chicken Vitality Stew. Georgie is in good shape for her age, but suffers from allergies which leave her with very itchy skin and are treated with immunotherapy. Her skin has improved in less than a fortnight; she is scratching herself a lot less. I was feeding her vet-recommended premium food, but Scoff It is so much better for her. She absolutely loves the flavour and I love supporting a small business. Thank you Beci for your creation, from Georgie and from me.

I believe I gave back in part through healthy nutritious food a small percentage of the unconditional love and absolute joy they gave me.

I have continued to feed the dogs in my life Scoff It and my poodle Jada (9+) is a picture of health. She doesn’t have any skin complaints, ear infections, dental issues, weight issues, odour or a loss of vitality.

Since I have had Noomi she has not had any commercial food of any kind and never will.

I am so happy to be able pass forward my knowledge and products to help other pet owners.

I am currently undertaking further education studying the Practising Certificate of Nutrition for Companion Pets in conjunction with Canine Myofunctional Therapy under the guidance of the National College of Traditional Medicine.

I spend time each day learning as much as possible about pet health and nutrition.
